US citizens

Save on US Self-Employment Tax

US citizens living in Israel who freelance face a double-taxation problem: roughly 15.3% Self-Employment Tax on top of Israeli National Insurance. With NETO you receive a payslip instead of self-employed income, which is exempt from SE Tax under the US-Israel Totalization Agreement.

Without NETO (self-employed)

Issue an invoice as a freelancer, report to the IRS as self-employed, pay roughly 15.3% SE Tax, plus Israeli National Insurance · double social-security taxation.

With NETO (employee payslip)

Receive a payslip as an employee, report to the IRS as an employee, and stay exempt from SE Tax (about 15.3% saved). Israeli National Insurance covers social security, protected by the US-Israel tax treaty.

Our story

How NETO started

NETO was born from a real-world problem. Founder Yizhar Cohen built and managed businesses across logistics, staffing and operations. Through that experience he saw a critical gap: hiring workers, managing payroll and handling invoices was overly complex, expensive and outdated.

Together with his brother Rami Cohen, an electronics engineer and serial entrepreneur, they set out to build a digital platform that would automate the entire employment and payment process. The result was NETO · a solution that replaces the traditional staffing-agency model with a transparent, fast and affordable digital alternative.

Since its founding, NETO has grown to serve workers, freelancers and employers, processing payments across Israel and internationally. The platform holds Manpower Contractor License 1565 from the Ministry of Labor, ensuring full legal compliance for every transaction.
