Recruitment and Job Search for Candidates with Disabilities

NETO Work aims to assist, as much as possible, the community of people with disabilities in finding suitable employment.
Many employers seek to integrate people with disabilities into the workplace for a variety of reasons.
As a result, we see great value in integrating people with disabilities into diverse roles across the economy.

Through the NETO system, employers can recruit employees, including employees with disabilities.
They can recruit for the long term or for the short term.
Similarly, job-seeking candidates can easily find suitable work through the NETO system.

Accessibility of the NETO.WORK Website

To improve accessibility, we made several changes in line with this Accessibility Statement.
These changes help us provide better service for people with disabilities.

This website makes use of various technologies designed to make it as accessible as possible at all times.
In addition, we use an accessibility interface that enables people with specific disabilities to adjust their experience.

We also implemented a number of adjustments in the site’s user interface (UI).
Moreover, we designed the UI to meet the needs of different disabilities.
As a result, the NETO system is more accessible to job-seeking employees and to employers looking to recruit and employ workers.

In addition, the site uses an AI-based application that runs in the background.
This application continuously improves the site’s accessibility level.
It also fixes the website’s HTML issues.
Furthermore, it adapts functionality and behavior for screen readers used by blind users.
Finally, it supports keyboard functions used by people with motor impairments.

Screen Readers and Keyboard Navigation Improve Accessibility on the NETO Website

The NETO website implements the ARIA attributes technique (Accessible Rich Internet Applications).
In addition, we apply various behavior changes to improve usability.
This approach helps blind users who rely on screen readers read, understand, and use site functions.

When a user with a screen reader enters the site, they receive an immediate prompt.
They are asked to enable the screen-reader profile, so they can browse and operate the site efficiently.
Therefore, the NETO website covers some of the most important requirements for screen readers.

Screen Reader Optimization Improves Website Accessibility

To improve accessibility under this Accessibility Statement for the NETO website, we run a background process.
This process learns the site components from top to bottom.
As a result, it helps ensure ongoing compatibility even when the site is updated.

In this process, we provide meaningful data to screen readers using a set of ARIA attributes:

  1. Accurate form labels
  2. Descriptions for actionable icons (social media icons, search icons, cart icons, etc.)
  3. Validation guidance for form inputs
  4. Element roles such as buttons, menus, modal dialogs (pop-up windows), and others.

In addition, the background process scans all images on the NETO website (images related to job search and recruitment).
It provides accurate, meaningful descriptions based on image object recognition.
These descriptions are added as ALT tags (alternative text) for images that are not otherwise described.

Moreover, it extracts text embedded in images using OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology.
To enable screen-reader adjustments at any time, the user only needs to press Alt + 1.
Screen reader users also receive automatic notifications when they enter the site.
These adjustments are compatible with popular screen readers, including JAWS and NVDA.

Accessibility Optimization – Navigation Using Keyboard Shortcuts

The background process also adapts the site’s HTML and adds behaviors via JavaScript.
Therefore, the NETO website is operable using a keyboard.
For example, users can navigate with Tab and Shift + Tab, use arrow keys, and close elements with Esc.

Users can also activate buttons and links with Enter.
In addition, they can navigate between radio buttons and checkboxes using arrow keys.
They can fill certain fields using the Spacebar or Enter key.

Moreover, keyboard users can use quick-navigation menus and “skip content” options.
These menus are available at any time by pressing Alt + 1 while navigating with the keyboard.
Finally, the background process handles pop-ups that appear when keyboard focus moves to them.
It also prevents focus from moving outside of them.

Users can also optimize accessibility through keyboard navigation using shortcut keys

  • “M” (menus),
  • “H” (headings),
  • “F” (forms),
  • “B” (buttons)
  • “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.

Accessibility Profiles Supported on the NETO Website

Epilepsy-Safe Profile

This profile enables people with epilepsy to use the website safely.
In addition, it reduces the risk of seizures triggered by flashing animations.
It also minimizes exposure to risky color combinations.

Visually Impaired Profile

This profile adapts the website for most visual impairments.
For example, it supports blurred vision, tunnel vision, cataracts, glaucoma, and others.

Cognitive Disability Profile

This profile provides assistive features for users with cognitive disabilities.
For instance, it can help people with autism, dyslexia, stroke (CVA), and others focus more easily on essential elements.

ADHD-Friendly Profile

This profile reduces distractions and visual noise.
As a result, it helps people with attention disorders and neurological conditions browse, read, and focus more easily on essential elements.

Blind Users Profile (Screen Readers)

This profile makes the website compatible with screen readers.
These include JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.
A screen reader is installed on the blind user’s computer, and this site is compatible with it.

This profile helps users with motor impairments operate the website using the keyboard.
Users can use Shift + Tab and Enter keys.
They can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), and “F”.

Users with epilepsy can stop all moving animations at the click of a button.
For example, this includes videos, GIFs, and flashing CSS transitions.

Content Highlighting –

Users can highlight important elements such as links and headings.
They can also choose to highlight only focused or hovered elements.

Mute Audio –

Users with hearing devices may experience headaches or other issues due to automatic audio playback.
Therefore, this option enables users to mute the entire website immediately.

Cognitive Support –

We use a search engine linked to Wikipedia and Wiktionary.
As a result, people with cognitive difficulties can decipher meanings of phrases, acronyms, slang, and more.

Additional Features –

Users can change cursor color and size.
They can also use print mode, enable a virtual keyboard, and access many other features.

Browser Compatibility and Assistive Technology Support

We strive to support as wide a range of browsers and assistive technologies as possible.
Therefore, users can choose the tools that best suit them, with minimal limitations.

We worked hard to support all major systems representing over 95% of user market share.
These include Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Opera, and Microsoft Edge.
In addition, we support JAWS and NVDA (screen readers), for both Windows and Mac users.
